Following a fun-filled Juneteenth Parade on Ennis’ northeast side, scores of locals celebrated the end of slavery in Texas with eats, games and music in a historic setting. The festivities took place along Martin Luther King Drive and at Rogers & Maise Park. The June 19 national holiday continues to educate and celebrate a day of great meaning and significance.
EPT awards funds to six graduating seniors
Ennis Public Theatre awarded scholarships to six graduating high school seniors during the Young Artists Program production of Beetlejuice JR. Each of the students has been involved in past shows as actors and stagehands. All six will pursue higher education, and several will be studying theatre arts.
