Keep Ennis Beautiful starts exciting new series
Park Ranger Anthony Sanders of the US Army Corp of Engineers will kick off the Sustainability Social Hour series hosted by Keep Ennis Beautiful on Saturday, January 25th at the Ennis Welcome Center. This series is for those who love the environment and our city. There will be two sessions. Session 1 at noon will be presented to families with children. The ideal age range is 7 and up but parents are welcome to decide if they think their little one is mature enough to attend and understand. Session 2 at 3pm will offer a deeper conversation for adults and teens.
NARFE holds January meeting
On January 14, 2025, Courtney Rayburn with North Texas Diabetes Association spoke to NARFE Chapter 1191 about the current status of diabetes in our country. Ms. Rayburn is the Director of Development for North Texas Diabetes Association. She explained the difference between Type 1 and 2 diabetes. There is no cure for Type 1 yet and those with that type must keep taking insulin for the rest of their life. Type 2 can be controlled by the standard of your lifestyle.

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, in collaboration with the Ennis Golden Circle, is excited to announce an upcoming workshop series focusing on the Mediterranean diet.
