Ennis cheerleaders have always been hailed for their spirit and energy while cheering for Lions teams. Last week in Fort Worth, it was their own collective efforts that drew attention to themselves at the Class 5A UIL Spirit State Championships.

For the third time in as many years, Ennis Cares was the beneficiary of a $75,000 grant from the City of Ennis. The grant was provided through QIPP (Quality Incentive Payment Program).

Ellis County United Powerlifters earned gold for their sweat during their recent Region 10 competition. Held at Grand Prairie High School on January 18, they left wearing gold medals at the meet they have been successful at in recent years.
