Ennis Retired School Personnel holds eclipse themed April meeting
ERSPA’s April meeting was held Thursday, April 4th, in their new meeting location, EISD Transportation Facility The theme of the day was the Eclipse Over Ennis! BettyAnn Blazek and Janet Raburn provided everyone present with an Eclipse Survival Kit - Eclipse Viewing Glasses, Moon Pies, Sunkist Orange Drinks and Eclipse Gum. How fun!!! The group was also honored with a district update by EISD Supt. Jay Tullos and a most interesting and informative program presented by Christen Rudd, Ennis Cares Coordinator. Regular business was discussed including many volunteer possibilities available. Even more fun items were given out as door prizes.

Locals will be pleased to know that Lake Bardwell and Richland Chambers reservoir in Corsicana, are scheduled this year to be restocked with Sunshine Bass - white bass and striped bass hybrid.

Throughout Ellis County, spring elections are scheduled for Saturday, May 4. Convenient early voting begins on Monday, April 22. The dates are April 22, through April 26, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. They continue on Saturday April 27, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. The final days are Monday and Tuesday, April 29-30, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
