Time capsules from 1972 uncovered
City street crew workers excavated a pair of time capsules this past week. Both were encased in concrete vaults at Pierce Park in downtown Ennis According to records, a Centennial Committee assembled a letter that was written in 1972 by Mrs. Raymond Fallen and put together specific items to include inside the containers. They were located adjacent to the monument and flag pole on NW Main Street, approximately 100-feet west of the railroad tracks.
