Ellis County Art Association to host prominent artist

Rusty Jones, prominent oil painting artist, will be doing a demonstration in oil painting for The Ellis County Art Association at the monthly meeting, Jan. 6 at First Baptist Church of Waxahachie (450 US287 BYP). Jones is a plein air painting enthusiast with over 20 years workshop teaching experience. The public is encouraged to attend the demonstration.

New Texas laws in 2025

Unless things change, they will remain the same. Thanks to the 88th Texas Legislature of 2023, some laws are about to go into effect on January, 1, 2025. Among them is that safety inspections on vehicles will no longer be required for non-commercial vehicles. That does not negate emissions testing in some counties, including Ellis.
