In my youth, while courting a young lady of plenty, we went to see a classic opera, The Marriage of Figaro. Composed in 1785 by Wolfgang Amadeus, it was playing in West Palm Beach.

I have a weakness for teen movies, even as an adult, with a crush on Molly Ringwald for many years. “Pretty in Pink”, “The Breakfast Club”, and “Sixteen Candles” are my favorites.

It’s hard not to relate to the pessimism of Eeyore, the character in the Winniethe-Pooh books by A.A. Milne. He first appeared in 1926, so he’s been around for a long time.

I’ll admit, I had no idea that throngs of people were gathering at the U.S. capitol grounds last week.

To the best of my knowledge, my parents have never seen a movie in a theater nor a stage play, although I might consider some of the drama produced by my uncle, an Assembly of God minister, high drama. If you could have experienced his time in the pulpit, you would probably agree.

Society demands that young people make some of the most important decisions of their lives at an age in which they are least prepared. It is what it is.

Over 90 years ago there lived a man with bulging forearm muscles, a squinty eye, and an affinity for spinach. He appeared to get angry every episode, similar to Bill Bixby playing the Incredible Hulk in the 1978 TV series.
