Monday, July 31, hundreds of Ennis ISD teachers, staff and administrators rallied together in the high school auditorium to jump-start the new school year. They did not need jumper-cables, but to make sure, Supt. Jay Tullos and a number of energy-induced activities revealed 437 teachers were more than ready to start the new school year. Ennis Cheerleaders for the coming 2023-2024 school year have been selected. New HC Erica Todd has led the team in recent months and announced to The Ennis News the Varsity and Junior Varsity cheer team rosters as well as who has been named team captains. In addition, it is now public who will don the Samson mascot suit.
