Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive collected canned goods and unperishable foods on Saturday, May 13, in the Ennis area. In fact, the Post Office at 205 N. McKinney St., is still receiving donated goods.

Five felony charges against Shamaiya Deyonshanaye Hall were handed down from the Ellis County grand jury on Wednesday afternoon, May 24. District Attorney Ann Montgomery said she was indicted for three capital murder charges for killing three of her five children, which resulted in the DA filing the state’s notice of intent to seek the death penalty in the capital murder cases.
