Ennis Public Library Director Jessica Diaz speaks to NARFE
The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Chapter 1191 held its monthly meeting from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Bubba’s BBQ in Ennis on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. The guest speaker was Jessica Diaz, Director of the Ennis Public Library. She is a native of Ennis, has been with the Ennis Public Library for about 20 years and has been the director since 2013. She holds a business administration degree from the University of Texas at Arlington Diaz discussed the history and current status of the Ennis Public Library as well as the Railroad Museum, which is part of the library system and of particular interest due to the history of railroads in Ennis. She discussed the current renovation of the Ennis Public Library, which has been in operation over 80 years, and its temporary relocation from W. Ennis Ave. to 115 W.
