Restrictions for visitors entering Ennis Regional Medical Center will have a less-stringent protocol as of Tuesday, May 19. According to a statement from ERMC, they are transitioning from a zero-visitor protocol to limited visitor restrictions as the hospital gradually resumes elective and non-urgent cases and services at its facilities.

Ennis Regional Medical Center announced on May 4 that it is taking the appropriate steps to safely resume some elective and nonurgent surgeries and procedures that were previously rescheduled out of an abundance of caution amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

As Texas begins to allow businesses to reopen across all sectors of the economy, those in the hard-hit travel sector stand ready to help the state economy rebound from this devastating pandemic. Many of the 60,000 small businesses in the travel and tourism industry have closed their doors and been forced to furlough or lay-off employees during the shelter-in-place phase.
