Unbeaten Dallas Conrad (3-0) erupted for six first half scores to build a 4015 lead, and went on to cook Rice, 4622, on Sept. 9. The Chargers had only yielded eight points in their first two games, before Bulldogs RB Luke Chapman parlayed 13 carries into 108-yards and three TDs. He also had a pair of catches for 19-yards.

Palmer improved to 2-0 with a team defensive effort in blanking Grand Saline on the road, 20-0, on Sept. 2. The Bulldogs had seven sacks, two interceptions, 14 tackles for lost yardage and held the Indians under 200 yards. Quarterback Eric Cisneros gave his team a 7-0 first quarter lead when he fired a 29-yard scoring strike to Drew Powell and capped a 10-of-13, 162-yard outing with a 35-yard TD toss to Elijah Garcia. In between the Road Dogs ended a long, second quarter march with a three-yard charge by Cutter Burrow. He finished with 10 totes for 93 yards.
