Veterans Day (United States) and Remembrance Day (Canada) are commemorated each year on November 11. Both holidays honor the individuals who served in the armed forces for their respective countries.

Each November, millions of people recognize the service and sacrifice of military veterans on Veterans Day. Initially commemorated as Armistice Day but renamed Veterans Day in the United States in 1954, the holiday is a federal holiday throughout the country.

The Ennis Garden Club has announced the 2024 Autumn Yards of the Season. The yards of the season are selected two times a year; Spring and Autumn. The yards, nominated by members of the Ennis Garden Club, are selected in each of the four EISD school districts.

Ennis High School has been known for six decades for its musically talented students, albeit most of it the result of its marching band. The rise and expansion of the choral department under the Director Jason Gadberry continues to be remarkable.
