Kay Gibbons Haymond passed away on December 3, 2022, in Bluefield, Virginia. Kay was born in Ennis, Texas, on November 23, 1943. Her father was Jack Gibbons and her mother was Kathryn Scott Gibbons. Her sister, Sharon Gibbons Luby passed away in 1998. Kay was a graduated of the 1962 class of Ennis High School. She was a proud member of the Ennis High Marching Band. She always fondly remembered her time at EHS and her many school friends.

John “Richard” Wilson died in his home of natural causes on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at the age of 75. He was born on September 29, 1947, in Dallas, Texas to John and Dixie Wilson.

Earl Brock Stanford of Byrd, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2022, after 95 years of a life well lived.

LaSundra Rowe-Williams, 46, passed away on Nov. 24, 2022.

Memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, at Eternal Rest Funeral Home, 215 N. Dallas St., Ennis, TX 75119.

Mary E. Taylor, 85, passed away on Nov. 19, 2022.

Raymond Franklin Kallus, Jr., was born in Ennis, Texas, to Raymond F. and Sybil Kallus on September 8, 1941. He passed away in Temple, Texas, on November 28, 2022.

Robert Lynn Shipley, age 72, of Red Oak, Texas, passed away November 27, 2022. He was born January 22, 1950, to the late Thomas Shipley and Melba Burke. A lifelong resident of Bristol, he was raised by his grandparents, Alex and Jewell Burke.

Paula Louise Craig passed away very peacefully on November 14, 2022, after a nearly two year battle with brain cancer. Born October 2, 1960 in Fort Dix, New Jersey, she was the loving daughter of Colonel Paul Craig and Miriam Louise (Weaver) Craig. Paula grew up in Claremont, New Hampshire and graduated from Stevens High School in 1978. She attended the University of New Hampshire, graduating in 1983 with a BA in Theater and Communications. After graduation, she was hired at Walt Disney World’s EPCOT Center and worked as a technician on EPCOT’s Lagoon show fireworks & multi-media spectaculars New World Fantasy, Laserphonic Fantasy, Illuminations & Skyleidoscope. While working at Disney, Paula worked on the pyrotechnic crews for the parks’ daily operational production shows, as well as for special events. She was involved with the design and technical coordination of many of these shows. She was the Pyrotechnics crew chief and logistics coordinator for the Gala event ceremonies for the grand opening of Disney MGM Studios.

Sarah Nichole Harper Taylor, age 40, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, in Dallas, TX. Born December 4, 1981, in Lubbock, TX, she attended school in Anton, Whitharral, and Ennis, TX, graduating from Ennis High School in 2000. She lived in Dallas for many years and made lifelong friends at every job she held, the last of which was at The Goat where she worked for 11 years.

Isaiah Lee Calhoun, 68, passed away on Oct. 31, 2022. He was born Nov. 11, 1954, in Bardwell, Texas, to the parentage of Freeman Robbin and Betty Joe Calhoun. He served in the military.
