Glenn Dale Thompson, Sr.
Caroline Ann Rejcek
Caroline Ann Rejcek, age 76, was born on April 15, 1946, in Ennis, Texas, to Dorothy and Willie “Bill” Zaidle. She peacefully passed in the comfort of her home into the arms of her Lord and Savior on April 11, 2023. She grew up as a young girl in Ennis, Texas. She tells stories about having to “hide from the revenuers” in a secret compartment in the floor when she was about four or five years old at her uncle’s moonshine still site. As she grew her family later moved to Lancaster, Texas where she helped her grandparents with their grocery store. She told us that she remembers slicing lunchmeats and handing out candy to children behind that counter. She graduated from Lancaster High School in 1964.
Danny Lee Zaidle, Sr.
Danny Lee Zaidle Sr., 71, passed away and went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday March 30, 2023. Danny was born to Leon and Mary Sue (Chandler) Zaidle on 4 February 1952 in Ennis, Texas. He grew up in Garland and graduated from Garland High School in 1969 and then completed carpentry apprenticeship school. On February 27, 1970 he married Sheila Ann Dickson and they made their home in Garland-Mesquite before moving to Ennis in 1981.
Willie Bob Kubin
Willie Bob Kubin, age 79, passed into his eternal rest on March 30, 2023 surrounded by his family. Willie was born in Ennis, Texas on October 21, 1943 to Frank J. and Bessie Vrla Kubin. Willie grew up in Ennis, and he graduated from St. John High School in 1961. After graduation he worked for Ennis Business Forms for two and a half years and for the U.S. Postal Service for over 40 years, retiring in 2004. On June 21, 1963 he married the love of his life, Sandra Eves.
Nancy Newman
Nancy Newman, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on March 28, 2023, at the age of 85. She was born on September 22, 1937, in Ennis, Texas, to the late Kendall and Eloise Newman. After graduating from Ennis High School in 1955, where she was a twirler with the EHS band, Nancy spent two years at East Texas State College before graduating from the University of North Texas in 1959. She then moved to Washington D.C. in 1962 with four close friends and began working for the Joint Committee on Atomic Energy. Nancy’s hard work and dedication soon caught the eye of Vice President Hubert Humphrey, and from 1967 to 1970, she worked for his staff and Muriel Humphrey. Her efforts to assist the Kennedys in the wake of the JFK assassination earned her special thanks from Jackie Kennedy.
Willie Bob Kubin
Terry Lynn Livingston
Terry Lynn Livingston, age 63, passed peacefully into the arms of God on March 20, 2023, after a lengthy illness. Terry was born October 11, 1959 in Ennis, Texas. The youngest child of Woody and Billie Livingston, Terry was adored by his older siblings who doted on him and did their best to protect their baby brother. As a young boy, Terry had a sweet disposition, a sharp mind and a love for sports, especially baseball. Like many kids of that era, he collected baseball cards and memorized baseball statistics with amazing accuracy.
